Bruce Springsteen Joins the Billionaire Boys Club

Hall of Famer Rockstar Bruce Springsteen has officially joined the billionaire club. In a recent report by Forbes, the publication announced that the 74 year old rock star had accumulated an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion. He now ranks just under Jay-Z ($2.5 billion), Rihanna ($1.4 billion), and Taylor Swift ($1.3 billion). Most of his wealth is contributed by his decade-long catalog sold to Columbia Records. Columbia Record is owned by Sony and is a global music label. He reportedly earned $500 million in 2021, the largest deal ever for an individual musician.

Springsteen has also been touring regularly in the later years of his career with the 20 times Grammy winner global trek in 2023 selling more than 1.6 million tickets which generated almost $400 million dollars in revenue. Currently in 2024, he and his band are on a tour again with plans that stretch all the way to July of 2025.

Who is Bruce Springsteen?

Born and raised in a small town in New Jersey, Bruce Springsteen AKA ‘The Boss’ is widely regarded as one of the best selling artists of all time. He gained his name writing and singing songs about the blue collar class of America. His gritty voice, touching lyrics and over the top stage presence resonated with millions of working class people around the world.

Springsteen’s journey as a musician began in clubs and pubs of New Jersey where he used to sing and perform in his early days. His debut album “Greetings from Asbury park” was released in 1973. He introduced a unique blend of rock, blues and folk to the music world and pioneered a new genre called “Heartland Rock.” Over the course of his career, he ranked a total of 11 times in the Billboard 200. “Only the strong survive” was his last album that was released in 2022. It debuted at no. 8 on the chart.

Unlike other rockstars, Bruce Springsteen lives a relatively humble life despite his stature and fame. Staying true to his roots, he made a strong connection with hometown New Jersey where he lives with his wife Patti Cialfa and their children. Springsteen is also a fitness freak. He still maintains a rigorous gym routine at the age of 74. In an interview he said that the daily workouts have helped him stay fit and do tours for all these years. Bruce has an eye for cars and has kept a collection of them for many years. His collection includes several classic Ford and Chevy models. A few of them include:  Chevy Impala Convertible, 1960 Chevy Corvette C1 etc.

Bruce is also a vivid supporter of the troops and the veterans. He himself failed the test to join the Vietnam war. Still, he made it clear that the army has a very special place in his heart. In fact, his songs reflect the patriotic nature of ‘The Boss’. The giving rockstar supports veterans and lower income people through two foundations where he donated almost $6-7 million dollars.
